Thanks for checking out my website.
I find it hard to categorize what I do; I can say I am the head cook and the bottle washer of the visual world:
I started my formal artistic practice at the age of fifteen at a prestigious art and architecture high school in Tehran; it was there where I got familiar with many fundamental art and design theories and studio works such as analog photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, art history, colour theory and many more.
After high school, I started my undergrad study at Azad University of Tehran in Graphic Design and I got my bachelor of design in 1999. Right after school, I started working as a graphic designer at a renowned design agency where I worked for international clients such as Panasonic, Peugeot, and Renault. After a few years working for that agency I got a promotion and became the design director of the department.
In 2006, I moved to Toronto to study Master of Design (MDes) at York University. After my graduate study, I have worked as a graphic designer and researcher with institutions such as OISE University of Toronto, Learning Technologies at Ryerson University, BMO and CIBC. I have work on a big variety of projects including product design, logo Design, branding, packaging design, UI/UX design, motion graphics design, book Illustration, fashion photography, as well as visual strategy and research.
In 2016, I went back to school to fulfill my passion for learning, and three years later I got my Master of Fine Arts from OCAD University where I researched and worked on many type-based installation artworks. I have received media recognition by BBC Persian and Now Magazine, among others, for some of my artworks.
After all, I guess you can call me an interdisciplinary artist and designer who is very passionate about making everyday life more satisfying by creating thoughtful and striking visual products.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
